Villa Features
Villa Theia is located in the heart of Hvar’s old town. It was built in the Baroque period, in the year of 1612 and its ownership changed throughout centuries. First owners were Stajlić (Stallio) family, finance business people. Later on the ownership switched to Marchi family, one of the oldest Italian families in Hvar.
This exceptional villa is today under the protection of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments.
The Villa, along with the Gothic house and the courtyard, was fully renovated in the period from 2007 till 2009.
The whole complex counts 450 square meters of indoor space with additional 200 square meters of an adjacent garden.
Baroque House
The main entrance with stairs and water well is located on the lower part of the ground floor.
On the higher part of the ground floor there is a spacious and elegant living room (45m2), two two-bed bedrooms (27m2, 20m2) each with it’s own bathroom, hallway, toilet, and kitchen-dining room combo (35m2) that exits into the inner courtyard. One of the aforementioned bedrooms has double bed while the other has separate beds that can be put together if needed.
Upstairs there are three two-bed bedrooms (50m2, 36m2, 25m2). The largest one is a master bedroom with a double bed and it’s own bathroom with both bathtub and shower. Other two bedrooms both have their own bathroom with a shower unit and they both have two beds – one of them has a double bed, and the other has separated beds that can be joined.
From a beautiful baroque stone paved balcony that extends from the living room there is an amazing view of the boardwalk, seashore, boats in the harbor, Fortica Fortress and Pakleni Islands.
Inner courtyard counts 200 square meters filled with Mediterranean plants and herbs. Although the villa is in the town center your complete privacy is ensured by a high stonewall that surrounds the courtyard.
Courtyard has outside table and chairs for 10 people as well as various other yard furniture pieces including sun-beds just next to the swimming pool.
Gothic House
Gothic house is connected to the Baroque house through the lower part of the ground floor. On the higher part of the floor there is a 25 square meter swimming pool with a retractable sunroof that either separates it or connects it to the garden around – depending if you want to keep it open or closed.
On the lower part of the Gothic house there is a wellness area (40m2). It includes sauna, Jacuzzi, massage room, relaxation room, shower unit, toilet and a small trim.
Wine cellar with excellent selection of both local and foreign wines is just adjacent.
Every room in Villa Theia is furnished with either top-notch modern furniture or with exquisite antique pieces.
Housekeeper, cleaning person and gardener are all at your service and will do anything to make your time there as comfortable and as pleasant as possible and your Hvar experience unforgettable.

Love at First Sight
It’s been almost a year since Theia took some well-deserved days off work.
Holding a managerial position in one of the world’s leading advertising companies is quite handful and extremely stressful. Just recently, while taking a short break from staring at her e-mail inbox, she was browsing the Internet and spotted a photograph of a gorgeous poolside terrace. It was surrounded by a perfect stonewall that can be found only in Mediterranean and the space was enriched with citrus trees, lavender bushes and juicy figs hanging all around. What a place, she thought.
She saw enough; next thing was booking a flight.
Accompanied by a group of her close friends, she was there in no time. The hostess showed them around and Theia knew right away that she might stay there longer than she anticipated.
Things were in a perfect order in that private paradise. Thick golden sunrays were showering the walls of a stone paved structure by day, and by night the moon would perform its magic sneaking into every room through the blinds half shut.
Who could stay indifferent to that incredible view of a town skyline, of the sea in front?
