Cottage Features
This cozy cottage is situated in the old part of the town of Jelsa surrounded by typical narrow streets, old stone houses, suggesting a typically Mediterranean way of living – from the scents, colors, materials and shapes to the feeling evoked by a visit to the old town. The cottage itself is completely new; it used to be a typical Hvar konoba, but it was demolished and rebuilt in 2017. It wisely combines the modern with the original, wood and stone with modern materials and minimalist lines and colors in the interior and the exterior, with a flashy detail here and there.
The cottage consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large front yard covering 70m2 m, providing full privacy, shaded and sunny parts and - what is very important - it is very kids friendly. The kitchen and the living room are connected with the front yard through a 5-meter wide glass sliding door, making it a large playground (100m2) surrounded with a three-meter wall, so privacy and safety are guaranteed.
The ground floor consists of a spacious living room with a fully equipped kitchen and dining room, a small bathroom with a shower tray, and a storage room with a washing machine. The ground floor opens to the front yard through a glass wall 4.5 meters wide, which gives you a space of about 100m2, blending the kitchen and living room with the pleasant yard covering 68m2.
The first floor has three bedrooms: a large master bedroom with a matrimonial bed (180x200 cm), a double bedroom (two 90x200 cm beds), and a smaller matrimonial bedroom (140x200 cm). There is also a large bathroom with a walk-in shower and a luggage storage room.
All beds have invaluable Bawaria Wolltex Premium mattresses, something we have to emphasize since the purpose of a vacation is to rest – and these mattresses will help you sleep like a baby. The rooms feel quite spacious and large since there is no ceiling – you can see wooden roof beams that give the space an additional whiff of warmth and charm. In case you decide to visit Jelsa in the winter – the upper-floor bathroom and the entire ground floor (kitchen, living room, bathroom) have floor heating. Each bedroom, living room, and kitchen have AC. The yard is equipped with everything you need for a pleasant afternoon siesta or an evening socializing.
The city center is only a few steps away (a 3-minute walk), and a pebble beach is located only 300 m from the cottage. All shops, bars and restaurants are in vicinity of the property. Cottage Euterpe is perfect for two couples, friends or family. One thing is sure - you will feel like you are in your own home.
